THIS REENGINEERED 29ER FEASTS ON CHALLENGING XC TERRAIN. LIGHT, SMOOTH AND STABLE, IT’S THE FAST TRACK TO THE PODIUM.

More than two years in the making, this new addition to the legendary Anthem series blends the most up-to-date Maestro rear suspension with the speed, control and stability of totally reengineered 29er frame geometry. Handcrafted with a superlight Advanced-grade composite mainframe and rear triangle, it features 90mm of smooth rear suspension travel and 100mm up front. The result: a fire-breathing XC machine that’s all about speed and control. The new trunnion mount shock produces a lower leverage ratio for better pedaling and braking efficiency, and also allows for shorter chainstays to improve the bike’s climbing capabilities and agility. And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm is lighter, stiffer and stronger than the previous aluminum version. And the combination of wider Boost hub spacing and Giant WheelSystems gives you super strong and stiff wheels for confident, precise handling on rugged trails. Technical Information

Highlights

The Anthem Advanced Pro 29 frameset features Giant’s all-new trunnion mount shock, which produces a lower leverage ratio for better pedaling and braking efficiency, plus shorter chainstays to improve climbing capabilities and agility. And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm is lighter, stiffer and stronger than the previous aluminum version. The combination of wider Boost hub spacing and Giant WheelSystems gives you super strong and stiff wheels for confident, precise handling on rugged trails. Here are the core technologies that help the Anthem Advanced Pro 29 give you a competitive edge over XC terrain:

  1. Maestro Suspension - Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages work together to create a single floating pivot point for the most active, efficient suspension system.
  2. Advanced Composite Mainframe and Swingarm - High-performance grade raw carbon fiber and custom resin is used to produce this high-quality frame in Giant’s own composite factory. Handcrafted monocoque construction makes both the mainframe and rear swingarm extremely lightweight, stiff and compliant.
  3. 29-Specific Geometry - Updated “long and low” XC frame geometry is tailored for 29-inch wheels to optimize control, acceleration and stability.
  4. Boost Technology - Wider hub spacing (110mm front/148mm rear) results in stiffer wheels for added control plus more tire clearance and an improved chainline for optimal drivetrain performance.
  5. Advanced Forged Composite Upper Rocker Arm - A state-of-the-art, high-pressure molding process is used to produce complex shaped carbon-fiber components that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than similar aluminum components.
  6. Trunnion Mount - New shock mount produces a lower leverage ratio for increased pedaling and braking efficiency, plus a lower center of gravity and shorter chainstays for improved handling, climbing and agility.
  7. PowerCore - A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 92mm wide bottom-bracket design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
  8. OverDrive - Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

Advanced Composite Technology

Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Maestro Suspension Technology

Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages all work together to create a single floating pivot for the most active, efficient and independent suspension system on the trail.

OverDrive

Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

Advanced Forged Composite Technology

A state-of-the-art high-pressure molding process is used to produce complex-shaped carbon fiber components that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than similar components made from aluminum. This technology is used in critical performance parts such as Maestro Suspension rocker links.
